Narrative
ELIJAH OLIVER STURGILL As a result of the coincidence of names and birth year this Elijah was shown in the 1983 Sturgill history as a son of Blackburn Sturgill of WV. Further research has shown that this was an error, th eWV Elijah stayed there. Elijah Oliver was born in Harlan Co. KY, was married three times and had children by each wife. He settled first in Lee Co. VA, later moved to Oklahoma and still later to California where he died and was buried at Fortuna CA. Elijah and his first wife Susan Morris were apparently divirced but no record of this was found. -pg 142
