Robert? GAMBILL
Apparently ackowledged in his will that he had taken advantage of a young widow and provided for Nora. Mom did not know exact details, but thought the name was William. Charts located in Dad's papers one filled out by him and one by his older brother James list Robert as the father, Dad's lists 'Martin' as grand-father while James listed 'Patsy'
research notes: 'Elegible' Alleghany County Gambills are: WS Gambill b.8/7/1845 d. 4/5/1916 Robert G. b. 8/4/1844 d. 2/11/1925 James M b. 7/10/1843 d. 11/19/1915. All would have been about America's age and would have been alive when Ruth Weaver was about 16 (1910). All three buried at Elk Creek Church Cemetery.
