Enoch Ward and family lived up in the coves on the south side of Buck

mountain. He was a harmless man of genial kindness and loved for friends

to visit him in his isolated home. They farmed and cultivated bees, and

when friends visited them not only gave them freely of the honey but

would have them go in the room where the honey was stored away and lift

and the cans of strained honey. But these good old people have gone to

their graves. Peace to their quiet rest. - from "FootPrints on the sands
