Narrative
Elizabeth and her husband John Hash were probably the first of the family to leave. They settled in present Grayson Co. VA where they lived out their lives.- p. 30
Elizabeth Sturgill and John Hash (Sr) were probably married in Orange Co. VA but no record has been found. They moved to present Grayson Co. VA about 1765 and settled near the mouth of Bridle creek where they lived out their lives. Both were buried in a family cemetery on this farm. It is family tradition that Elizabeth was handicapped in some manner but it is not known how.
Elizabeth and John had only one child who was the "son John by my second wife" named in the will of Joh Hash. (John Sr. also named a son John by his first wife)
