Narrative
William Horton Hashe was a Revolutionary soldier; private, in Montgomery County Virginia Militia, under the command of Capt. Enoch Osborne, his brother in law. He signed the "Oath of Allegiance" to uphold Virginia against Britain, 30 Sep 1777(See, Virginia Historical Magazine, Vol.XLVI#3, July 1938). He was a large land owner, ardent hunter and splendid marksman.
Private in the rev. war. Served under Capt. Enoch osborne. Not sure where
the "Horton" came from, nor if it's accurate.
