Narrative

REBECCA STURGILL was born in Ashe Co. NC and taken to Scott Co. VA in her fathers family in 1830. When the family moved to Sullivan Co. MO in 1840 she went with them but it is not known to the writer whether she met and married her husband Jacob Spencer in Scott Co. VA or in Missouri. They made their home in Jasper Co. MO. -pg 91
