Narrative
Elijah was not shown in David's family in 1840 but was probably living with his Richardson grandparents. -pg 58
ELIJAH STURGILL was born in Ashe Co. NC. No direct proof was found that he was a son of David Sturgill but this conclusion is supported by family tradition. He went to Harlan Co. KY as a young man where he met and married Emaline Louvina Creech. In 1880 they moved to Wise Co. VA where they lived out their lives. -pg 94
