Narrative
PHOEBE JANE STURGILL lived with her parents in Ashe Co. NC and took care of them in their old age. She had one child whose natural father was said to be a Caldwell. He would not marry her because she had tuberculosis which eventually caused her death. It is not known where she was buried but probably in the same cemetery as her parents. -pg 107
