There is evidence that Capt. Enoch & his men fought at the battle of Kings Mountain on oct 7, 1780.

He is recorded as owning over 1000 acres in Grayson, as well as scattered tracts in Allegany Co. NC totalling 2875 acres.

Daniel Boone was in his company during the Lord Dunmore's war as reported in newslwtter of Grayson Co. Historical soc. Vol 4 # 2.
